My professional journey has always been driven by a profound passion for the fashion industry. Over the years, I've come to appreciate that this industry thrives on a dynamic interplay between creativity and management. Here, I provide a synopsis of my journey, highlighting key experiences and skills that have shaped my path in the world of fashion.
Starting Young
My journey began at the tender age of sixteen when I embarked on a remarkable career as a volunteer at Riga Fashion Week (RFW). For six seasons, I immersed myself in various roles and responsibilities, including managing the front desk, overseeing the international media lounge, coordinating backstage activities, and ensuring the smooth running of the main hall. Each season brought with it a new opportunity to delve deeper into the intricate organizational structure of the event. What's most rewarding about my involvement with RFW is witnessing the remarkable growth of Latvia's premier fashion event and knowing that I played a significant role in its evolution. One highlight was RFW's participation in the prestigious international project, United Fashion, where numerous showrooms, meetings, and exhibitions aimed to support emerging fashion artists across Europe.
Balancing Education and Passion
Education has always been a priority in my life. For five years, I successfully balanced my secondary school studies with an enriching art education at Maras Muiznieces Art Secondary School in Riga. This period provided me with a strong foundation in artistic fundamentals, academic drawing and painting, and composition studies.
Exploring Fashion Management and Purpose
Currently, I'm pursuing my studies at the renowned London College of Fashion, a global hub for fashion education. My focus is on fashion management, a field that has broadened my perspective to encompass critical global fashion agendas. These include sustainability, the digital landscape, and the integration of artificial intelligence and machine learning. This academic journey has equipped me with the knowledge and insights to envision and contribute to fashion startups, and innovations, where I can translate my skills and knowledge into a meaningful purpose!
